Artist Statement

A recurring theme in my work is exploring emotional expression and celebrating the feminine aspects of creation. “Birthing the Divine Feminine” gives space for this receptive and yielding energy to come into balance with the masculine energy so dominant in our world.

I’ve always been in love with the stillness and dark reflective qualities of a pond on the farm where I grew up. Surrounded by nature, the setting suggested having this body of work suspended over water with the images shimmering on the its surface.
