Revelation comes upon me in moments when I didn’t set out to reveal anything. The nature of revelation comes through the details in these paintings:

• The introspective gaze or folded hands of a solo figure.

• The hues of dusk or night-time that suggest our interior moods.

• Characters and animals from daydreams or fairy tales interact intensely.

Light touches what has been disowned or repressed, and the darkness loses its power over us.
